Steam Fitter Springfield Hospital Center Sykesville, MD. 21784This position is at a journeyman level and requires the expertise to work semi-independently diagnosing plumbing, heating, ventilation, ac and refrigeration (HVACR) problems.This position performs skilled tasks on HVACR systems; disassembles/assembles and installs system components; assures continuity of mechanical systems services; and, is knowledgeable of the occupational hazards and precautionary measures of the HVACR trade. Employees in this classification are subject to emergency call-in 24 hours a day, seven days per week and may be required to provide the employing agency with a telephone number where they can be reached. Min Requirements: Completion of 6th grade, 4 yrs exp. assembling, installing, repairing and maintaining high and low pressure steam and hot water systems.
