Purpose: The Technology Integration Group in the Computing and Computational Sciences Directorate at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking qualified applicants for an Archival Storage Software Engineer position developing and maintaining software for the High Performance Storage System (HPSS), a disk/tape-based archival storage system. The Technology Integration Group is charged with delivering new technologies into the National Center for Computational Sciences and as such has responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the Center's archive storage solution, HPSS. Major Duties/Responsibilities: The applicant will participate in the HPSS collaboration to help maintain the current system and enhance it with new features to improve its capability, manageability, and reliability. Duties include: Develop sophisticated features as required/prioritized by the HPSS Executive and Technical Committees through the Change Request process.
