Ecologist - (Lapwai, ID)

The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Natural Resources/Wildlife Division is recruiting for: PROFESSIONAL I - RESTORATION ECOLOGIST HR-17-100 regular full time position with a duty station in Lapwai, ID. The successful candidate will join a professional and experienced team working to restore, perpetuate, enhance, and manage the wildlife and rare plant resources of the Tribe. The position serves as a habitat restoration ecologist within the Wildlife Division's Dworshak Wildlife Mitigation Program. Primary duties include organizing and implementing a range of wildlife habitat restoration and maintenance efforts; organizing and conducting plant and wildlife surveys; managing databases; operating and maintaining heavy agriculture/forestry-related equipment and implements; and providing supervision to field personnel. Requires a Bachelor's degree in wildlife biology, ecology, forestry, botany, or related position. Background does not substitute for degree.
