QA Assistant - (Freedom, PA)

Apex Life Sciences has an opportunity for a second shift QA Assistant for a client in the Pittsburgh area. As the QA Assistant the main function is to ensure food safety and the quality of food. Also, promote continuous and sustained improvements by ensuring compliance with all regulations and company safety policies and procedures. Position qualifications: Perform daily pre-operation and GMP inspections and associated paperwork. Report concerns to supervisor. Perform environmental swabbing of surfaces Perform daily in-process quality inspections Perform calibrations of testing equipment Monitor and record temperatures of storage areas and products This can be a physically demanding position--candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
