Billing Specialist - (Kansas City, MO)

Aerotek is currently looking for Medical Billers in the Kansas City area! The positions pay $14-18/hr. Please send your resume Job details: Reviews appropriateness of CPT/ICD nine coding and determines if care provided corresponds to the fees submitted and are in compliance with insurance plan guidelines. May assist in identifying improper plan billing practices and provides assistance to clients as it relates to billing requirements upon request. Organizes inpatient and outpatient claims for electronic or hardcopy mail and forwards to appropriate 3rd party payers. Reviews claims to make sure that payer specific billing requirements are met, follows-up on billing through payment of the claim, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary. Ensures that the patients' insurance covers treatment. Requires a high-school diploma and 2-4 yrs of related skills or a certificate in area of specialty.
