GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB Manage the daily operational effectiveness of formulas and processes in the Manufacturing Plant in order to ensure that quality products are produced that conform to their intended purpose. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop an understanding of the plant in order to become expert in all processes relating to the manufacture of formulas developed in Product Development. Assist Research Product Development Chemists in the understanding of manufacturing processes. Assist in scale-up of new formulas which involves making lab batches, pilot plant scale batches, and monitoring production batches Manage all formula recipes for conformance to established manufacturing protocols. Manage plant hygiene processes. Manage wash water consumption. Manage rework, batch recovery, and mis-tint recovery operations.
