Quality Engineer - (Sandusky, OH)

This position is responsible for supporting the Quality System through analysis of statistical data, issue solving techniques, corrective preventive action and continuous improvement activities for products and processes to achieve safety, cost, quality, and delivery qualifications. Job responsibilities: BS Degree (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred). 5 to 7 years background in the Quality Assurance field in a manufacturing environment. ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering preferred. Background in ISO 9001 (International Organization for Standardization). Background with LEAN processes and procedures a plus. Knowledge of 6 sigma and/or TQM practices preferred. Must have the expertise to initiate, facilitate, and lead continuous improvement teams. Strong leadership and people skills, and expertise to effectively interface with co-workers, customers, and suppliers required. Must have the expertise to develop, monitor, and analyze costs of Quality.
