Description WFOX/WJAX has a great opportunity for a part time newscast editor.? When the news is happening, we are at work, so you'll need to be prepared to work contributing to our broadcast and digital platforms.This job necessitates flexibility to work overnights, early mornings, late nights, holidays and weekends as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Assignments include the following:"?Edit all types of video needed for newscasts, special events, and other productions"?Operate the Signal Acquisition desk to receive feeds and live shots via all available paths"?Communicate openly with producers, managers, and directorsQualifications EDUCATION and/or BACKGROUND: ? Education - Degree or working toward a degree in electronic media. Background - one year of non-linear editing for live, deadline-dependent situations ? OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: ? Troubleshooting skills, quick thinking, and working expertise of animation programs are all advantageous skills.
