Controls Engineer - (East Chicago, IN)

JOB OVERVIEW- - Implementation of control solutions geared towards process improvement. - Basic knowledge of process improvement within a manufacturing setting. - Utilize Allen-Bradley platforms in order to accomplish day to day PLC troubleshooting to keep lines/machines running. - Background adding basic functions to HMIs - Maintain and troubleshoot plant manufacturing lines/machinery. - Background with both Ladder Logic and Structured Text programming/troubleshooting. - Expertise to program/trouble shoot PLCs using Allen-Bradley Softwares. - Will occasionally have to return to the plant during off hours to assist with emergencies. This is very rare and can occur 1-2 times a year. Electrical Techs can normally fix the problem before calling the engineer. Requirements- - At least two years background working with PLCs in a manufacturing setting. - Act as the main PLC programming resource for the plant.
