Laboratory Technician - Decker, MT - (Decker, MT)

The position is responsible for laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid, liquid, or gaseous materials for such purposes as quality control, process control, or product development by performing the following duties. • Acquire coal samples that are taken from coal pits and off trains; • Test for moisture, ash, BTU, sulfur, and elements; • All details is inserted into a data base which is then reported to the customer; • Accurately complete and maintain all laboratory reports; • Perform general upkeep and housekeeping of the laboratory; and • Assist in all other laboratory assignments and projects. Rotating shifts; twelve hour days, nights, weekends, and holidays
