Quality Assurance Inspector SUMMARY: To ensure welded components meet customer weld parameters, component assemblies meet customer specifications, and components meet dimensional specifications. Assist in the daily operations of the Quality Assurance Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Understand instructions provided by supervisor. Visual inspection of welds and components. This includes the expertise to identify improper or sub-standard welds to a variety of welded components. - The expertise to perform multi-plane dimensional inspections. Record dimensional inspection findings onto various documents. Generate PPAP reports including 1st article inspections. - Conduct all types of performance tests. - Identify accepted and rejected components and route to the proper location - Assist in the calibration of dimensional measuring equipment. - Assist in the training of new inspectors. - Perform internal Quality Audits.
