Apprentice Lineworker - (Northfield, IL)

The Apprentice Lineworker program emphasizes developing the skills to be a successful lineworker (overhead and underground). Apprentices must complete a training program that includes coursework, on-the-job training and some travel for field training. The program is normally a five-year series of progressive training positions during which the employee is on probation in accordance with Village policy. Employees failing to progress through the apprenticeship program will be terminated. Apprentice Lineworkers will be trained in overhead, conventional underground and Underground Residential Distribution electric systems. This position will assist other employees in performance of assigned tasks and with the installation, expansion, relocation, repair and maintenance of facilities and service to residents. In addition to normal line work, apprentice lineworkers will also support the construction, operation and maintenance of the water distribution system as needed. Min Requirements:
