Licensed Clinician - (New York, NY)

MAJOR FUNCTIONS: The Licensed Clinician is responsible for providing individual and group counseling services on a broad spectrum of clinical and community issues for individuals in residential treatment to address a substance use disorder. The Licensed Clinician assists residents and their families in accessing community resources and services related to substance abuse, legal, mental health, medical and vocational/educational needs. The Licensed Clinician functions in a leadership role within the clinical team and provides guidance and direction to the Counselors. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide individual assessment and counseling to address outstanding family, medical, psychiatric, and housing concerns. 2. Conduct evidence-based group counseling services related to a wide spectrum of clinical and community issues. 3. Maintain up-to-date resident charts including assessments, treatment plans, case notes and documentation of collateral contacts. 4. Provide crisis intervention services.
