Sr. Scientist/Engineer, Production Science and TechnologyPosition SummaryModerna Therapeutics is seeking a Scientist or Engineer to join the Production Science and Technology team for a position based at their Norwood, MA site. The applicant with work together with members of the operating teams to identify potential areas of improvement within Pre-Clinical mRNA Production. The applicant will also interact with the process development, process innovation, and platform analytics teams to develop, characterize, and implement new methods to synthesize RNA. Specifically, the applicant will work to assess production strategies for mRNA which are scalable and amenable for automation. The applicant will report to the Associate Director of Production Science and Technology.Responsibilities Identify and develop improvements to mRNA synthesis and purification methodologies Troubleshoot hard to synthesize RNA constructs and devise novel process solutions to enable production Develop analytical methods to advance mRNA
