Quality Engineer - Wheel and Axle Assemblies Job - (Suffolk, VA)

Seeking capable Quality Engineer to support internal and customer audit programs, resolve customer quality complaints, lead training activities, perform corrective action, and ensure adherence to industry standards. Background performing root-cause analysis for manufacturing processes in an ISO 9001:2008 or AAR M-1003 certified environment is extremely helpful to succeed in this position. Must be familiar with quality manufacturing standards and audit qualifications. Shall: *** Create and realize audit strategies to ensure acceptable adherence to quality qualifications and verify operations follow SOPs. *** Train personnel on new or established SOPs and quality manufacturing processes. *** Oversee inspection activities for cast and forged products, analyze reports and reconfigure manufacturing process to account for defects, potential defects, or inefficient production. *** Lead efforts to reduce scrap and rework costs.
