Environmental and Safety Manager II - (Fort Myers, FL)

Position details : This is a salaried-exempt position, working independently or in a team to plan, implement, and coordinate environmental and safety programs in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local rules and regulations. This work requires the application of engineering principles, technology, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) to prevent or correct environmental, safety or site work conditions in and around the manufacturing division. Essential Duties : Conduct audits to identify any unsafe work practices and food safety non-conformities as well as recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employee and product exposure to chemical, physical, and biological hazards. Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure general and process safety compliance with regards to OSHA and EPA rules and regulations.
