RN II / 5 West / Acute Respiratory - (Los Angeles, CA)

The RN II /5 West under general supervision, serves as a registered nurse, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care teammates in the delivery of care. five West is a 32 bed unit for children with diabetes, infectious diseases and pulmonary conditions with complication. This unit can accommodate up to sixteen ventilator patients who are stable enough to be outside an ICU setting. Must have two years pediatric background in an acute care setting. Ventilator, bipap, and diabetic- DKA managerial background wanted. Licenses required:CA RN license required along with PALS and CPR certifications from American Heart Association. Experienced required: 18 mons of acute care background required with Pediatric preferred.
