Mortgage Underwriter - (Brentwood, TN)

Position overview:Job Description Our client, a locally owned mortgage bank, is looking for a talented Mortgage Underwriter . This person will be responsible for underwriting FHA, VA or Conventional loans. If you are a talented, hard working and experienced Underwriter this is the job for you! Qualifications: * 5+ years of underwriting background in a wholesale lending or mortgage banking * Current FHA DE Designation PREFERRED; VA LAPP Endorsement a bonus; SAR Designation ideal * Background with multi-state underwriting * Strong understanding of FHA and FNMA underwriting guidelines * Strong understanding of LP and DU underwriting * Time management and management skills to effectively prioritize daily workload to achieve volume goals * Good knowledge of complex personal and/or business financials, but not limited to tax returns and balance sheet analysis * Effective communication expertise (verbal and written) This position is will be located in Brentwood TN.
