Claims Authorizer - HVAC Plumbing Electrical - (Anderson, SC)

Class to start in January General Purpose of Position This position will receive telephone calls from service providers as well as homeowners. The role of the Authorizer is to evaluate claim---s using Company guidelines and knowledge of CCHS contracts to determine the claim decisions and dollar amount of the repairs. The Authorizer will use his or her technical knowledge and field background to assist and support homeowners and service companies in the area of quality and technical assistance. Summary of Responsibilities -- Process incoming telephone calls with service providers for claim approval -- Review and negotiate claim approvals to insure that materials costs and diagnosis are equitable and within the established guidelines and standards -- Accurately capture and record claim info into the database -- Assist departmental management with problematic or complex claim resolution -- Work on special projects and duties as assigned by management -- Participate and conduct training and coaching of staff
