QC Chemist-3rd shift - (Mooresville, NC)

Position summary:Job Description Job details Within the Quality Department and under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Analyst is responsible for the chemical/physical analysis of products (including intermediates), raw materials and certain packaging materials. Duties include performing QC assays, applying and maintaining specifications, assisting in the validation of analytical methods, and writing Standard Operating Procedures. The Lab Analyst is responsible for comprehensive recording of test results, initiation and participation in OOS investigations, and entry of data into computer systems for tracking purposes. Other duties include basic instrument troubleshooting, general/preventive instrument maintenance, and laboratory equipment/reagent upkeep. The job necessitates a 4-year degree in chemistry or related science (or equivalent background) and a familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of chemistry.
