Directs, schedules, and oversees sections of the laboratory. Responsibilities: Direct, supervises, and coordinates technical functions and activities in any or all divisions of clinical laboratories (including satellite facilities). Performs testing as required. Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, workshops, and attends meetings as required. Participates on committees as directed. Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
