Human Resources | Oakland, CA, United States ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Coaches and trains managers in their communication, feedback, recognition and interaction responsibilities with employees. Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are presented. Monitors and advises management in the progressive discipline systems of the company. Reviews, guides and approves management recommendations for employment separations and reduction in forces. Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the company. Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, practices and laws. Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship. Administers employee leave programs for client departments. Consults with employees, managers and payroll regarding Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation leaves. Counsels staff regarding LOA options and rights.
