Scientist I, QA/QC - (South San Francisco, CA)

Position title: Scientist I, QA/QC Required functions: Organize and conduct functional QC of Ion Reagents Kits and sensors. Summarize data to provide assessment of product performance. Maintain accurate QC batch records and files according to quality standards (e.g. ISO compliance, GLP/GMP qualifications). Plan and execute troubleshooting experiments to identify the root cause of out-of-specification (OOS) laboratory results. Help in developing Work Instruction to implement the new methods; maintain equipment calibration schedule; generate and maintain training records for new and current QC operators Preferably 1+ years background in a QC role in a molecular biology lab Must be able to work autonomously as well as work with a diverse team. Expertise to prioritize assignments and to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive manner Compliance knowledge with ISO9001, ISO13485, GMP/GLP qualifications preferred. Background on at least 1 of Ion TorrentTM semiconductor sequencing platforms is preferred
