Transportation Planner - (Port Townsend, WA)

Transportation Planner Jefferson County, WA Public Works Department seeks a Transportation Planner - Engineer III to work on local and regional transportation issues and projects at its Port Townsend office. This is a professional level position that provides a leadership role in Jefferson County transportation planning. The Transportation Planner is also a highly motivated team member who analyzes and develops priority programs and plans for motorized and non-motorized transportation system needs, including the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP); identifies, applies for and manages grant funding for road improvement projects; develops and manages contracts; and, leads public outreach efforts, developing and maintaining relationships with other agencies, elected officials and community groups.
