Lead Medical Laboratory Technician - (Janesville, WI)

Description Role Purpose: Under the direction of the Director - Laboratory Services performs routine and special technical laboratory analyses, operates and maintains instruments according to established laboratory procedures and protocols, with a maximal degree of effectiveness to provide accurate and timely test results. Performs laboratory tests in all areas - Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology and Microbiology utilizing chemicals and instrumentation to analyze blood and body fluids. Performs blood collection from patients of all ages using age appropriate techniques. Prepares frozen sections when needed. Exercises independent judgment in recognizing and solving test related problems. Authorized by the Director - Laboratory Services to perform technical position requirements
