NOTE:The compensation range for a Nurse Practitioner is $93,065 - $123,766.The compensation range for a Physician Assistant is $69,207 - $100,360.A Professional Standards Board (PSB) will review the selectee's education and background to make a grade and salary recommendation.This position is located at either the Athens or Lancaster, Ohio Community-Based Outpatient Clinics associated with the Chillicothe, Ohio VA Medical Center in the Home-Based Primary Care (HBPC) section of the Geriatrics and Extended Care Line (GECL).The Physician Extender (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to the complex patient populations in Home-Based Care in collaboration with the physician assigned to HBPC.Duties of the position include (but are not limited to) demonstration of the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of patients served in the assigned area of practice.
