The PA is responsible for facilitating the fulfillment of the Wilmington VAMC mission, vision and values.The incumbent works under the supervision of Physician in the Pain Management Clinic, and is accountable to the Chief of Medicine. The incumbent is a skilled health care provider who utilizes critical judgment in the performance of comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis and ordering of diagnostics tests. His/her practice promotes wellness and prevents illness and injury. a. Obtains medical histories and perform physical examinations to evaluate specific medical problems on inpatients and outpatients. b. Demonstrates proficiency with CPRS computer programs uses and reads Outlook email to communicate with colleagues. c. Orders and interprets diagnostic studies: a. Laboratory tests b.
