Veterinary Assistant - Part-Time - (Santa Maria, CA)

PETS Hospital, Inc., a new emergency and critical care veterinary hospital in Orcutt, CA, has an immediate opening for two part time veterinary assistants. Eligible candidates must have small animal veterinary experience, be proficient in taking a basic medical history and vitals, possess proficiency in drug dosage calculation, medical terminology and patient care. Additionally, the perfect applicant should have excellent customer service skills, maintain a calm demeanor under pressure and work well as part of a medical team. Candidates without veterinary experience will not be considered. As an emergency veterinary facility, most of our shifts are night and swing, including weekends and holidays. The starting compensation range is $14-$16/hour depending on experience, with an additional $3/hour shift differential for overnight shifts.
