Part Time After School Staff Position - (Brooklyn, NY)

We are seeking part time staff member for a parent-founded and PTA-run extended care program in Brooklyn. The staff member will be responsible for leading groups of students, ages Pre-K through fifth Grade, throughout the after-school period. This includes helping to transition students from their school-day dismissal to their after school program, assist with recess, snack time, and enrichment classes, and to facilitate projects, play and quiet time for homework. Work hours are 2:00-5:30pm Monday through Friday. Compensation starts at $11.00 per hour. Hours may fluctuate depending on work performance and the needs of the program. The ideal candidate is responsible, able to arrive early or on time for work, has a strong work ethic, likes children, has a great attitude, plenty of energy, patience, and an easygoing demeanor. Knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus. Assignments include, but are not limited to: Arrive in time to start work by 2:00pm.
