Underwriter Specialist I - (Russellville, AL)

GENERAL FUNCTION OF UNDERWRITER SPECIALIST II: Responsible for processing all owner-occupied residential real estate loans, commercial and consumer loans upon approval of a Loan Officer. Orders and assembles all necessary documentation for loan packages to be compliant with all regulations, policies and procedures. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF UNDERWRITER SPECIALIST II: Demonstrates an aptitude for banking and exhibits proficiency in all areas of loan documentation. Has an inherent duty and responsibility to follow all policies and procedures regarding loan documentation. Assists Lending Officers in processing loans and correspondence. Types loans, title applications, mortgages, UCCs, other supporting documentation and correspondence for all Loan Officers. Orders and reviews real estate appraisals and title insurance for exceptions regarding mortgage loans. Works with Loan Officers to clear exceptions.
