Water Pollution Control Shift Supervisor - (Hartford, CT)

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:This is very responsible water pollution control operations and maintenance supervisory work involving the direction of plant operations on an assigned shift. Work involves responsibility for safe, effective and timely operation of the plant by assigned operators. Duties include directing primary, secondary, thickening, dewatering, incineration, and/or composting operations and routine maintenance on the assigned shift, as scheduled. This position also has the responsibility for making very difficult plant operation technical decisions. This work requires that the employee have considerable knowledge, skill and expertise in Class three water pollution control plant operations and supervision.REQUIREMENTS:A high-school diploma or the equivalent plus 6 years of progressively responsible water pollution control plant background including at least 2yrs in a crew leader or supervisory capacity
