Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator 09 - (Washington, DC)

The Authority is seeking a highly motivated Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, RW-09. The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is involved in the operations of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, performing such duties in any major area of the Plant (i.e. including primary treatment, secondary treatment, nitrification, filtration, disinfections, sludge, thickening, dewatering, and digestion). Unusual problems referred to Foreman for resolution. CRITICAL FUNCTIONS: --- Operates all process equipment using manual and/or computer controls. --- Collects composite samples from all phases of the various treatment processes. --- Performs laboratory analysis, makes process control calculations, implements controls to ensure compliance with Federal law. --- Is responsible for the proper operation of the treatment processes and equipment. --- Evaluates data and maintains detailed records of process control analysis, and various meter readings.
