Video Editor, Atlantic Studios - (Washington, DC)

Atlantic Studios explores multimedia storytelling in the rapidly evolving world of on-line video. We produce original documentaries, interview series, and other nonfiction video content for The Atlantic’s digital properties and beyond. We also feature a diverse selection of videos by independent creators on the Atlantic Video channel. We seek an experienced staff editor who is equally comfortable cutting documentaries, sizzles, and hosted explainers. The editor will be primarily responsible for working closely with The Atlantic’s in-house producers to edit our ongoing and new off-platform series (e.g., YouTube, Facebook). We value sharp storytelling skills, a web-native sensibility, and a no-frills, get-it-done attitude. Above all, we’re looking for that rare blend of breathtaking speed and attention to detail.
