Clinical Lab Veterinarian - (Jefferson, AR)

JOB OVERVIEW: The Clinical Veterinarian provides the veterinary support to NCTR laboratory animal programs consistent with NCTR guidelines, and the IACUC and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs. The most important responsibility shall be the provision of veterinary medical and surgical care to the non-human primate (NHP) colony. Participation in the veterinary medical care program for other animal species is included as a smaller component of the duties of the position, and will depend on the needs of NCTR Veterinary Services (VS) and availability after commitments to the NHP colony are met. Clinical Veterinarian assignments include providing daily clinical care and treatment of the laboratory animals; participation in emergency call schedule and after-hours veterinary care, ICU night, weekend, and holiday coverage with other VS veterinarians as required. All services must be provided in accordance with all applicable regulations.
