Food Service Chef (436-088) - (Norwich, CT)

Assists with all activities of the Commissary to prepare and present all food items to be delivered to a variety of clients. Travel to various sites where food will be prepared, presented and served. Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations with established TVCCA's policies and procedures. Assist the Commissary staff in packaging and assembly of food products and supplies needed for nutrition sites. Assist in daily cleaning and sanitation of commissary equipment, pots, pans, utensils, floors and refrigeration units.Critical skills: Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and 2 yrs of background or High-school diploma or equivalent and 4 yrs of background cooking in the food industry. Possess a valid ServSafe or equivalent certificate, or complete certification within 6 mons of start date. Basic technical skills required.
