Outreach Navigator - (Mandeville, LA)

The Northlake Homeless Coalition is seeking an Outreach Navigator for the Florida Parishes Region (Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington Parishes). The Homeless Outreach Navigator will identify and build rapport with homeless individuals and families living in emergency shelters, on the streets, in vehicles or in other places not meant for human habitation. The Navigator will be responsible for conducting assessments with clients to be used by the Coordinated Access and Assessment Committee to prioritize individuals and families for housing. Navigators will assist clients in breaking the cycle of homelessness by accessing necessary social services and obtaining permanent housing. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work preferred or equivalent experience in a related position. • 2 Yrs in street outreach experience. • Technical skills with proficiency in Ms office. HMIS experience desired. • Project a professional demeanor.
