Join our team today and be a part of Helping to Build America. ™ In this role the Heavy Assembler: assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating qualifications; repairing units or products that have failed to meet qualifications. Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy sub-assemblies or complete units. May set up jigs and fixtures. Lays out reference points, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts of metal or fiberglass mold according to blueprint and layout specifications fabrication. May fabricate parts as required.
