Assembler - YSI, Inc. - (Yellow Springs, OH)

Purpose: (In a brief statement, indicate the overall purpose of this position) To produce defect-free product per the written process while meeting production qualifications. Major Responsibilities: 1. Build product per written process 2. Work with manufacturing engineering to resolve problems and make process improvements 3. Initiate product change notices (PCN’s) when routing or bill of material is not in agreement with process or shop order 4. Work with planner and material handler to meet delivery qualifications 5. Work as part of a team Additional Responsibilities: 1. Keep work area clean and organized 2. Follow ISO standards 3. Maintain on-floor inventories and pull parts for shop orders 4. Training and mentoring as required 5. Maintain calibration of equipment per schedule 6. Participate on new product teams as requested 7. Attend and participate in monthly business center and business unit meetings
