Mechanical Engineer (Design) - (Hickory, NC)

Position details The Design Engineer is responsible for specification, design and drafting of aux extrusion equipment and systems. This individual also manages multiple projects and communicates with customers, vendors and other departments within the facility on a daily basis. Essential Job qualifications and Responsibilities Mechanical design of components and systems Technical support for sales team and customers Customer assistance for configuration of system design qualifications Component design (Mechanical components & controls/electrical layouts) Quality inspections during fabrication process and prior to unit shipment Technical assistance to vendors during project production Design new products in response to customer demand and product improvements Manage projects to ensure customer requested delivery dates are met Other duties as assigned Education and Experience Qualifications
