Laboratory Technician (Food Science) - (Winchester, VA)

We’re seeking a qualified applicant for an Entry-level Lab Technician contract position in the Winchester, VA area. This is a great opportunity to gain industry exposure in the scientific industry ! This is a rotating swing shift position, which means you will work 3-4 days per week, ~12 hour shifts. Hours: 6:00AM – 6:00 PM Candidates must be flexible with their schedule and able to accommodate the rotating swing shift. Responsibilities: - Laboratory testing to meet standards set up in FDA and GMP qualifications. - Pulling, logging, and running finish product and processing samples for all test required on each product. - Pull sample of incoming raw material and packaging to determine acceptability of loads from our suppliers. - Audit chemical concentrations and ensures compliance to company specifications. - Must be able to prepare media and other lab controls. These would include but are not limited to pour plates, buffer water, etc.
