Assistant General Counsel This position, Staff Attorney II, III, IV (Job Opening #621008), is open to all State employees and external candidates. ****************************DO NOT INQUIRE ON WEBSITE !!!!!!!!!*************************** Staff Attorney II/III/IV (Exempt position – Montpelier Full time) The Department is seeking to fill an Assistant General Counsel exempt (non-classified) position at the Department of Financial Regulation. The General Counsel Office provides legal services for the Departments regulatory programs, including those relating to lenders, traditional and captive insurance companies, securities firms, and other regulated entities. Assignments may include (1) legal counsel and regulatory support to the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, and Department staff, (2) representation of the Department in administrative and judicial proceedings, (3) preparation and adoption of administrative rules and (4) representation of Department at the Vermont Legislature.
