HP Culinary Arts Instructor - (Shreveport, LA)

DESCRIPTION GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Performs as an instructor in a regular vocational classroom setting presenting instructions in the Food Service Training area. Promotes a positive and desired atmosphere within the classroom setting ensuring a maximal student learning environment. MIN REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor Degree in Nutrition Education or Home Economics Education. Three Years background in commercial or institutional food preparation, or 2 yrs background as a Food Service Training Instructor required. OR An Associates Degree in Nutrition Education or Home Economics Education. 7yrs background in commercial or institutional food preparation, or 4 years background as a Food Service Training Instructor required. Substitution: Education and background above the high-school level may be combined to meet the min requirements for this position. 1 Year of college education may be substituted for 2 years of Job Corps background or background in a similar area.
