Mechanical Technician III - (Kiln, MS)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Plans and performs installation and test of mechanical structural modifications to, and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and structural components for, complex systems on military, commercial aircraft, and other assets as may be applicable. DUTIES Performs complex modification and installation of various equipment by modification of aircraft primary and secondary structures Perform modifications and installations of equipment requiring modification of aircraft composite structures Read, interpret, and supports development of mechanical fabrication and installation drawings Work from and assist in the development of engineering drawings Work unaided with little to no supervision Lead modification teams Understand and use complex hand tools and machine shop equipment Machine and sheet metal use Perform in progress and final inspections for assemblies and installations Work as a modification team lead Travel may be required
