Mechanical Systems Technician - (Chattanooga, TN)

The Tennessee Aquarium seeks a self-motivated, knowledgeable Mechanical Systems Technician responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and assisting other CMS staff with construction and maintenance projects. Essential responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, fans, motors, hoists, loading dock equipment, and ozone generators Perform system checks on diesel generators, fire suppression systems, and facility sealed water loops Troubleshoot equipment electrical controls and related components Maintain parts inventory related to preventive maintenance tasks Interact with vendors and sub-contractors Delivery and material pick up Perform work in a manner that fosters the Aquarium's mission and reflects its core values and service standards Work conditions Normal office environment Frequent hot, cold, wet and/or slippery settings Frequent exposure to fumes, smoke, odors, etc.
