Cutting Tool Design Engineer - (Arden, NC)

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Cutting Tool Engineer to become an integral part of our Engineering team! You will be responsible for examining a finished part or part print and designing custom cutting tools such as drills, reamers, endmills, etc. to make that part. Our clients are typically Engineers at large automotive and aerospace facilities. You will be working in collaboration with a team of other cutting tool engineers at STF to achieve the optimal tool design.Responsibilities:Work with Clients to understand a specific metal cutting applicationIdentify and Design one or more cutting tools best matched to the application and machining parametersDraw detailed prints of the Cutting tool using Solidworks v2014Enter production specifics into our ERP systemQualifications:5 yrs or more previous background with Cutting Tool Design & EngineeringKnowledge of standard machining operations used in a high-volume production facilityBonus points for manufacturing or machining background of Carbide or PCD
