Ophthalmic Assistant Job - (Eau Claire, WI)

Department: Eye Care Center A Life-Changing Career Responsibilities: Provides patient care under supervision of provider when rooming patients in the clinic setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family. Maintains regulatory requirements, clinic policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with providers and teammates about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Requirements: High-school graduate or equivalent. Current certification by JCAHPO as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred. Certification must be obtained within 12 mnths of hire. Previous eye care assistance background wanted. Current BLS certification or must obtain within 6 mnths of hire. Additional Requirements: Expertise to communicate in English; both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge.
