We're currently searching for an anesthesiologist in Illinois! Dates: September - December, 2 on/2 off schedule Cases: general surgery, orthopedics, OB, ENT, urology, ophthalmology Shifts: Monday - Friday, eight hour days, plus pager call Travel and lodging provided! As a critical care specialist responsible for pain management and the maintenance of vital life functions, anesthesiologists(locum tenens) are an integral part of the operating room. Anesthesiologists meet with patients in a preoperative setting to determine the best and safest course of action for pain management during the medical procedure, evaluating the patient's medical history in order to come up with the optimal course of action. During medical procedures, anesthesiologists monitor heart rate, blood pressure and other bodily functions and administer appropriate anesthesia.
