The Johnson City Press has an opening for a self-starting, multitasking journalist who can work in a fast-paced environment and utilize multimedia to provide visually stimulating, timely, accurate and well-written coverage of sports, update our website, provide pictures and video, and lay out pages. The Johnson City Press is a daily newspaper in the beautiful mountainous region of Northeast Tennessee. We are part of Northeast Tennessee Media Group and Sandusky Newspaper Group, a family-owned company actively engaged in new media and content innovation. The job necessitates excellent news writing expertise, knowledge of AP style, and digital video and photography skills. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communications or related fields. A min of 3 years background is preferred.
