POSITION SUMMARY Under the general direction of the Environment of Care Manager, the Safety Officer plans, implements, coordinates, and assesses hospital accident, fire prevention, and occupational safety and health programs in accordance with The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
