On Call Substitute Teacher Critical Action Items: * Responsibility for assisting in the education and daily program of the classroom. * Advocate for young children and their families. * Assists with implementation and coordination of all Head Start functions. * Identifies, reports, provides supportive services in child abuse/neglect cases, notifying the Program Director after any referral is made. * Assist in the implementation of lessons plans Measureable Deliverables: * Assist in providing educational experiences that will: * Instill in each child a good self-image and sense of self-worth * Develop language art and skills for all children, * Include multi-culture, folklore, etc. into the program * Ensure all children receive individual attention. * Be in the classroom before children arrive each morning, unless designated by supervisor to another duty. * See that all areas are safe including * The classroom * The playground * Equipment * Supplies
